In the field of Consumer Education, EKPIZO commenced a pioneering, multidimensional and diversified work during 1995-2010. Among other activities, this work includes consumer information campaigns, specifically for young people, participation in National and European schemes, cooperation with ministries, organizations, schools and universities both nationally and at a European level, as well as design of educational materials for children, teens and adults. The main purpose of Consumer Education is to address a wide range of issues concerning the rights and the protection of the consumers, product safety, nutrition, product labeling, financial services, advertising, sustainable consumption and the environment. After 2010, these activities have been limited due to lack of resources and specialized work force, even though both EKPIZO and the consumers, especially scholars, are still highly interested in these activities. Part of this work was:

Coordination, at national level, of the European Young Consumers Competition (1994-1998). This was the first official involvement of EKPIZO in Consumer Education. The table below shows the number of entries in the competition per country and the rewarding contribution of EKPIZO.
